もう出版の計画を勝手に立てて章立てまで決めているにもかかわらず、こうやってダラダラしているのは、やはり私は報酬系の本質をつかめていない気がするからだ。仕方ないか。言い換えれば、私は最初の章の『報酬系は不思議である！』が書けないでいることになる。その不思議さを伝えることがまだできないからだ。人がなぜwanting に吸い寄せられるか。心情的にはよくわかる。しかしその生物学的なメカニズムがわからない。辛うじて行き着いたアイデアが報酬勾配という概念。でもそんな話をしている学者はいないようだ。
私は報酬系は偉大な装置だと思う。これがなければ生物は生まれなかったと言っていいと思う。その意味ではDNAの複製の装置と同じくらいの意味があるだろう。だってそうではないか。ネズミは塩分が枯渇する環境に置かれると、まずい死海の水を渇望するのである。これがなければネズミは死んでしまう。生命はこのメカニズムをどのように獲得したのか。そしてそこにドーパミンシステムがどのように関係しているのか。
一つ行き着いた考えは、「誘因突出」と「恐怖体験」とはある意味ではネガとポジのように似ているということだ。天敵から逃避するということと、死海の水に引き寄せられることはすごく似ている。その瞬間は、何も考えずに体の動きに身を任せている感じ。ただ何度も言うように、逃避はものすごくシンプルで、誘因突出に向かう行動はすごく複雑であること。前者は一点から遠ざかるためにはどこに行ってもいいわけだが、後者は一点に向かわなくてはならないからだ。
一つのアイデアを思い付いた。私はこの最初の章を最後に書く事にして、ほかの章を済ませるということにしよう。そこで

Based on the current concepts and
terminology of the study of DID, this SP is closer to what is called an “emotional part of the personality (EP)”(Van
der Hart, Nijenhuis, Steele, 2006).) This notion is proposed by van der Hart et al in their structural
dissociation. It suggests that dissociation
results from a basic failure to integrate systems
of ideas and
functions of the personality. After traumatizing events, the personality is separated
to two parts; “apparently normal part of the personality” which is dedicated to
functioning in daily living, and this EP dedicated to defense. SP obviously is
related to this emotional parts of the personality, but especially those who
are most traumatized and least frequently observed, at least in the usual
functional level of the patients who are not in particular crisis.
