So called SP revised (10)

So called SP revised (10)
Here is how a process of the formation of this 3rd type would go. Although there might not be any room for the victimized child to “observe” the abusive scenes where she/he him/herself is directly involved, the child should have many occasions where he/she witnesses or observes similar abuse situations where someone else is implicated. These might be some fictional scenes in the TV dramas or movies, or real life situations when the child is lucky enough to be in a position of witness or bystander. In these scenes, he/she might observe many people who would not remain in a victimized position, but fight back or flight from the abuser, or somehow actively protect him/herself.
In other scenes, when a child is actually abused, there might be a bystander who would actively intervene and rescue the child or stop the abuser from further victimization. It is natural to hypothesize that a child would identify and introject these protective figures who would fight back, flight from the abuser or who would rescue him/her, and this is how this third type of IWA would occur.
.In Figure 1.I show a figure that indicates a child’s mind within his/her brain, facing an aggressor who has an internal object of a child.
Figure 2. shows a state where two IWA occur and aggressor part as well as victimized child part is introjected to the child’s “brain”, if not his/her “mind”.
Figure 3. shows a state where the third, protective part is also
hypothetically drawn into the figure 2.

Communications among SPs and enhancement of aggression

It is my clinical observation that SPs interact among themselves out of the awareness of the host personality. For example, aggressive SP (as a result of IWA type1) would continue to “abuse” the victimized SP (formed as a result of the IWA type 2, just in a way that the aggressor torments or victimizes the child in their real life. As I drew in the figure 2 and 3, at least some loci are formed in the child’s “brain” (light moss green zone in the figures), if not his mind (blue zone in the figures) in its usual sense, for these SPs to function as an agency. Although the host personality is living a relatively uneventful life, this internal abuse and aggression can still be played out on their own, which can keep the wound still fresh and vivid. Although there is no way of knowing whether any interaction among parts of the personalities occur “automatically”, there are several rationales to believe so. The memory of trauma in the childhood usually stays very vivid and painful, as though the victimization actually continues to occur. The sense of uselessness and unworthiness of the child tend to stay deep and sometimes seemingly worsening as the time goes by.
